"For everything is from You and we only give You what we have received from You."
1 Chronicles 29:14
Stewardship is a way of life. It is a way of participating in our Church and a way of bringing God into the center of our daily life. The roots of stewardship can be found in our biblical tradition which reveals our relationship to God as Creator and Giver of all gifts. To be a steward means we are not owners of these gifts but, rather, grateful caretakers and servants.
As stewards, Christian living means that we view our resources of time, talent and treasure as gifts from God. We don't "possess" or "own" the resources, but we are entrusted with them to nurture their growth and use them wisely. Stewardship means that we choose to use our resources to reach out to others and build God's kingdom of love, justice, and peace.
