"Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord"
Faith Through Music is an opportunity for students to learn about their Catholic Faith by celebrating the Love of our Lord and the love for each other through music. Music is a universal language gifted to us by God to express our innermost longings and our greatest joys, and singing is a beautiful way to share our Christianity! Psalm 95 tells us to “Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord.” Psalm 96 says "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all you lands, Sing to the Lord bless his name, announce his salvation day after day.”
Our music time is not only about singing, but also, praying through music.
How can you say a prayer from your heart if you do not know what it means? Our songs are our prayers: prayers of praise, thanksgiving, petition, worship, honor and love of our Lord. The songs we will sing will reflect the Gospel for the week or the Liturgical Season and a connection to the class unit, or Scripture verses and how we can grow through our prayers. So we pray and we learn while expressing our Love for God through song. Please feel free to join us at any time!
Schedule
The music schedule is set up in such a way that all students PK-5th grade will have opportunities to experience Faith Through Music. PK, K and 1st grade will have music almost every week while 2nd thru 5th grade will have music on a rotating basis.
