MISSION STATEMENT
Family Life Ministry serves the parish of St. John Vianney as an advocate for families in all thier forms and at all stages of the life cycle by collaborating with existing groups and ministries to raise awareness that the very fabric of society is dependent upon the spiritual growth and emotional health of the family and that these must be address within the setting of thier everyday lives, and to aid families's efforts to meet the challenges of parenthood, maintian family stability and promote emotional and spiritual growth through education and information, recognizing that by strengthening our community of families we strengthen the Body of Christ.

Baptismal Preparation - There are two class session to prepare parents and godparents for the arrival of the child into the Christian community. Please contact the Family Life Office for more details.
Marriage Prepartion - This program prepares couples not only for the wedding day, but for a lifetime of living out the sacrament. Please contact the Family Life Office at least 9 months before the planned wedding date.
Parenting Seminars and Workshops - planned and given periodically throughout the year. Please read the parish bulletin for the most up-to-date information.
Family Life In America (FAMILIA) - a study of Scripture, church documents, and the catechism designed especially for mothers and fathers. Each is based on a 4-year plan with 15 lessons per year. Currently FAMILIA for Moms is meeting on alternating Friday mornings. We do have all 4 years available here. For the Dads we currently only have the Year 3 meeting on Monday evenings. Natural Family Planning - This method of family planning respects God’s order of creation and is as effective as the pill without any of the harmful side effects. The course consists of 3 classes, one per month, on Sunday afternoons. Please call 281-723-5686 and speak to Joe DeVet.
A.D.A.M. (Alcohol and Drug Ministry) - If you think you or someone you love has an addiction, there is help. ANONYMITY is assured. Call Tony or Kathy at 281-596-0756.
Teams of Our Lady (TOOL) - An international lay movement of over 50,000 couples blessed by the Pope that seeks to put Christ in the center of their lives and marriage. Each team is a small community of 5 to 7 couples of all ages who meet monthly to share a simple meal, pray together, and have a lively discussion.
