Deborah is a convert to the Catholic faith having gone through RCIA here at SJV. She is a graduate of the UT at Austin and holds a Masters from U of H where she is also completing her doctorate. Deborah has a history of valuable work experience in the field of non-profit organizations and education. She was previously on the staff of the UT Health Science Center and also served as an adjunct faculty member at U of H in sociology and anthropology.

Maria was born in Mexico and moved to the States in 1961. She and her husband of over 50 years, Roland, have one daughter and three sons. In 1978 Maria founded the Latin American Service Association in Houston to assist Spanish-speaking immigrants and she continued this work until 1994. After several years of volunteer and pastoral work, she joined the parish staff in August, 2000. As a cradle Catholic Maria has been a tireless volunteer in the Church and in the community.

Glorivel was born in El Salvador and she joined St. John Vianney Catholic Church in 1987. She has served the people of St. John Vianney since 1996. Her responsibilities include the publication of the Spanish Sunday bulletin, coordinating the English as a Second Language Program, Meals on Wheels, Employment Ministry and The Gathering Place. When away from church, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
