Elementary CCE (PRE-K - 5TH GRADE)

SESSION TIMES
Sundays 8:00 a.m. - 9:10 a.m.
Sundays 9:30 a.m. - 10:40 a.m.
Sundays 12:00 p.m. - 1:10 p.m.
Mondays 4:30 p.m. - 5:40 p.m.
Mondays 6:15 p.m. - 7:25 p.m.

Our elementary CCE program strives to be the springboard for ongoing lifelong catechesis. We present the content of the Catholic faith - drawn from Scripture and Tradition - in age-appropriate ways. Instead of teaching just one theme per year, the Call to Faith series uses a spiral curriculum where all themes are developed each year in an age appropriate way. Concepts develop as children mature, drawing them more deeply into their knowledge and understanding of thier faith.

Junior High CCE (6th - 8th Grades)

SESSION TIMES
Sundays 12:00 p.m. - 1:10 p.m. (Spanish-assisted)
Sundays 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Mondays 6:15 p.m. - 7:25 p.m.

The junior high students continue with the Call to Faith series with a deeper emphasis on developing community and prayer. Students are encouraged to participate more deeply in the Sunday liturgy and develop thier own prayer lives. They are also encouraged to participate in the social and service events offered through the youth ministry program.

High School CCE (6th - 8th Grades)

SESSION TIMES
Sundays 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Mondays 6:15 p.m. - 7:25 p.m.

The high school curriculum focuses on making the connection between thier faith and their daily lives. The emphasis moves to real world application and an ability to actively articulate thier faith. The CCE program is tightly woven into our entire high school formation program, where catechesis, prayer, service, retreats, etc. are all various parts of living and growing in our faith.

First Reconciliation and First Communion

Preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion typically take place during the student's 2nd grade year. It is a separate program from the normal CCE curriculum. First Reconciliation meetings begin in the Fall and First Eucharist in January.  This begins with a mandatory informational meeting for parent and child.   At this time, parents enroll their child and receive materials for home preparation. Parents are the primary educators and are expected to prepare their child at home.  In addition, all candidates must be enrolled in our parish CCE sessions or attend a Catholic school during thier 1st and 2nd grade years, and present proof of baptism.

Confirmation Preparation

High school students are eligible to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation beginning in the 11th grade. It is a separate program from the normal High School CCE curriculum. Classes begin in September, with Confirmation taking place in the spring. Preparation includes monthly classes, a mandatory Confirmation Retreat, service projects, and more.

Children's Catechumenate

Children in the 3rd grade or higher who have not been baptized can participate in our Children's Catechumenate program. This is a two-year program in which children will be prepared to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.
