Disaster Relief Team Information Session

Tuesday, Aug 22nd 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
@ St. John Vianney - AV Room

“Although the Atlantic hurricane season officially began on June 1st, we’re now approaching the ‘season within the season’ – a roughly eight-week period that is often the most active and dangerous time for tropical cyclone activity… From mid-August through mid-October, the activity spikes, accounting for 78 percent of the tropical storm days, 87 percent of the category 1 and 2 hurricane days, and a whopping 96 percent of the major (category 3, 4 and 5) hurricane days.

One thing that doesn’t change as we move into and out of the peak of season is the need to be vigilant and prepared.  Because it doesn’t matter whether activity levels are high or low – it only takes one storm to make it a bad year for you.” – NOAA.

Prepare for the ‘Season within the season.’  SJV’s Disaster Relief Ministry invites you to an Information Session.
Come find out:
  • What you can do NOW to prepare your family (and finances)
  • What your first steps should be if you are affected (things you might not have thought about!)
  • How to mitigate your losses
  • What kind of help you can expect from our Team

To RSVP or for additional information, contact Mercedes at 281.497.4434.  If you’d like to join our team of on-call volunteers, please contact Vivian. Learn more about our Disaster Relief Ministry.
