October 31, 2017 marks the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation. This four part series will present an overview of the context in which it percolated and subsequently erupted. How did the Rome respond? Were the protests warranted?

Fr. Charles Talar, Ph.D. is In Residence at St. John Vianney Parish. He is a Professor of Systematics and History at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary, Houston.  Fr. Talar, a priest of the Diocese of Connecticut, is a well-known author and speaker and has lectured at conferences throughout the U.S., Italy, Belgium and France.
