The Sola System
The solas of the Protestant Reformation, sola scriptura, sola fide, sola gratia, (sola Christus, Soli Deo Gratia) are a set of doctrines considered central to the pivotal period of change in the 16th century. Each sola represents a key belief held by reformers in contrast to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. What does each sola mean; why were they divisive and do they remain so today?
