… so began the latest performance in the Sing of Salvation Series at SJV.
It was one of several beautiful selections from Godspell performed on the evening of Sep 21, 2015. The musical Godspell is a series of parables interspersed with a variety of modern music set primarily to lyrics from traditional hymns. Some attendees could be heard humming “Day by Day” for days! Sing of Salvation, a series of scriptural narratives with selected Broadway music, is a collaboration between Adult Ministry and Music Ministry. The biblical readings set to this type of music again proves how singing and the dramatic arts can highlight the beauty of Scripture and bring it to life.
