Event Type
A Tale of Two Cities
You’re invited to inhabit St. Augustine’s classic work, City of God, for four weeks on Wednesday evenings beginning September 17 at 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM in the Audio/Visual Room.
More often, we know about this book, rather than know it. In this study, before focusing on selections from the text, Fr. Chuck Talar will contextualize the masterpieces by presenting an overview of Augustine as one who was shaped by his times and shaped his own and subsequent times.
We will gain insight as to why Pope Leo XIV was drawn to the Augustinian Order’s charism.
There is no fee to attend this series. For more information, contact the Adult Formation Office at ygill@stjohnvianney.org
