A Series of Lectures Presented by Fr. Chuck Talar
Tuesday Evenings, September 13, 20, 27, and October 4, from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Audio/Visual Room.
Born in 1786, three years before the outbreak of the French Revolution, and long into the early Second Empire (+1859), Jean Vianney’s lifespan encompassed tumultuous upheavals – political, social, and economic -that strongly affected Catholicism abroad and in France. These lectures set his life within this larger context, seeking to propose a deeper appreciation of his world, his church, and his ministry.
“The Curé d’Ars remains for all countries an unequaled model both of the carrying out of the ministry and of the holiness of the minister.”
John Paul II
