There has been an increase in email and text scams from people impersonating parish priests asking for donations. These impostors have claimed to be Fr. Troy, Cardinal DiNardo, and Bishop Sheltz, to name a few.
Do not open or respond to these emails or texts. Rather, simply delete and/or block the sender. Please remember that priests would never make appeals such as this, for gift cards and direct monetary donations.
The Texas Attorney General has warned about these impostors who are trying to make quick money at the expense of people of faith. If you have questions, please contact the parish office or the Texas Consumer Protection Division at 1.800.621-0508 and pray for the conversion of these dishonest people.
