The Great Adventure Catholic Bible Study provides a simple way to understand the Bible and experience the life-changing power of God’s Word. Hundreds of thousands of people have found new meaning in their lives through this series.

Hebrews: The New and Eternal Covenant

This “Letter” takes us through the movement from the Old Covenant to the new, from the earthly to the heavenly, from nature to grace. Reading and studying the Book of Hebrews is like stumbling upon an ancient apostolic meditation on the surpassing grandeur of what God has accomplished in Jesus Christ.

The Bible Timeline

The foundational study in The Great Adventure Series takes participants on a journey through the entire Bible delving deep into each period of salvation history to discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. Participants will learn about major people, places, and events and see how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our faith.

Matthew: The King and His Kingdom

Matthew explores the life and mission of Jesus as recorded in the Gospels. Matthew demonstrates how the promises and prophecies of the Old Testament are fulfilled in Jesus, who inaugurates the Kingdom of God on earth. Participants learn how people came to realize that Jesus was the awaited Messiah who relives the life and struggles of Israel to become the long awaited faithful and victorious King. Set in the rich context of Jesus’ Jewish culture, this study helps participants understand it better and appreciate it as part of our heritage.

Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom

The book of Acts reveals how Christ’s Kingdom on earth is empowered to carry on his work in the world. Acts reveals the Church, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, teaching, preaching, healing, and restoring the marginalized in the same way that Jesus did. The Book of Acts provides an historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s letters in particular come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative.

The Prophets: Messengers of God's Mercy**

God sent prophets at critical times to call the people back to covenant relationship. Prophets proclaimed the consequences of continued sin, called people to repentance, and declared God’s faithful love. They also spoke of the future to shed light on current events and to reveal God’s plans and purposes. This study examines who the prophets were, their role during their time, and the meaning of their messages for our own time.

Monday mornings, 9:45 – 11:45 am | Eleven (11) sessions beginning September 14, 2020.
$27.00 for study set. **A women’s study group.

Galatians: Set Free to Live

In this 9 week study we learn how Christ fulfilled the Law and set us free to live in the Spirit. Learn what “justification” means and how faith and works are an integral part of it.
