After having to move our Faith Formation program to an online format in the spring, the 2020 fall semester had a late but awesome beginning. On Sunday, November 1st, featuring the Solemnity of All Saints, 100 teens and 30 volunteers participated in our first (in-person) Sunday Night Youth Group. Our new youth ministers, Matt Zelinsky and Erica Rohde welcomed everyone with great enthusiasm and closed the evening by singing the Litany of Saints. What an incredible way to honor our saints! The teens were in great spirits and happy to be back in person, not only because they saw their friends again but most importantly to share Jesus’ love with each other.
To end our 2020-2021 year on a high note, the youth enjoyed many fun and faith-filled activities throughout the summer. We were blessed to attend the Steubenville Lonestar Youth Conference in Irving, Texas with 24 teens from SJV! It was an amazing weekend of prayer, joy, friends, and fellowship with over 2000 other teens from around the state, country, and the world!
