Thomas Gaynor

Associate Director & Organist | Music

Thomas Gaynor is St. John Vianney’s Associate Director of Music and Organist. In this role he directs the Vesper Choir and co-directs the Cantate Singers. He found his calling to church music as organ scholar at the Cathedral of St. Paul in his hometown of Wellington, New Zealand. In 2012 he moved to the USA to pursue master’s and doctoral studies at the Eastman School of Music studying under David Higgs. Before joining the SJV staff in April 2021, Thomas was the Associate Director of Music at Christ Church, Pittsford, NY.
