Listed below you will find three ways to support mothers in crisis pregnancies via The Gabriel Project®:

Gabriel Angel:

  • This is interaction directly with moms who contact us; walking with them through their pregnancy and helping them find the spiritual, emotional, medical, and material support they need during the difficult times. Time commitment is minimal and varies depending on mom’s needs, number of moms in the program and number of active volunteers.
  • This is a spiritual commitment requiring much prayer time; living a life of faith and in good standing with the Church and its teachings.
  • Training is provided by the Archdiocese.

Phone Volunteer:

  • The time commitment is 4 continuous hours per week (Monday – Friday only).
  • This can be done from your home.

Donations:

The Gabriel Project® accepts items for newborns and infants only. Items should be new or gently used; something you would give to a loved one. Due to limited storage capacity, we cannot accept baby furniture or items for toddlers, including toddler car seats, high chairs, exersaucers, bouncers, walkers, etc.  Donations will be given to expectant or new mothers throughout the Archdiocese. We accept:

  • Infant car seats
  • Portable cribs or pack-n-plays
  • Diapers (sizes 1 & 2)
  • New baby clothing (ages 0-9 months), for both boys and girls
  • Bath products for babies (baby shampoo, body wash, lotion, diaper rash lotion, etc.)
  • Handmade or store-bought baby blankets or quilts

“With great openness and courage, we need to question how widespread is the Culture of Life today among individual Christians, families, groups, and communities in our Dioceses.  With equal clarity and determination we must identify the steps we are called to take in order to serve life in all its truth.” (Evagelium vitae 95)
